טוב.קצת סדר בדברים כי נראה שהתבלבלתי.

SMPTe שהוא אכן מה שכתבתי בציטוט הקודם, היה אחד משמות הלהקה הפוטנציאליים. הבחור שיצר את העטיפה של האלבום לא אהב אותו (וגם סטולט לא) והציע את Transatlantic שלבסוף נבחר.
כנראה שבמחשבה שניה הם גם הבינו ש-SMPTe מכיל את שמות חברי הלהקה ובחרו בו כשם האלבום.

עדיין מוזר, אבל זה הסיפור הכתוב (ובהמשך יש ציטוט של פורטנוי שמאושש זאת, שזה אכן היה מושג טכני שנבחר בראשית).


אגב, כל מי שאוהב את טרנסאטלנטיק, חייב לעצמו לקרוא את הפרק עליהם בספר הזה.
פשוט נפלא.

TRANSATLANTIC - THE OFFICIAL BOOTLEG DVD:

Exclusive for you all here - I’ve been working with Neal this week on finally releasing my Transatlantic Bootleg DVD, which will be sold on the tour. This is a project that was my conception, after being given a handful of Neal’s old home movies from the BAF tour to look for a few bonus clips for a previous DVD. I found about 3 hours of "must-see" material! As a labor of love, I cleverly edited together the best of what I found, which is a little over an hour live, and an hour of hilarious backstage antics, and presented it to the band as a possible bootleg type product. When I presented it to the guys, everyone thought it was a sketchy idea. Then after watching what I put together, all were RAVING about it!! Mike even sent me board audio to use, and suggested adding a funny live track he liked.

So, I’m pretty excited about this. It’ll be well worth buying just for the laughs, and an incredible live version of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Both Roine & I agreed that the live cuts on this DVD are actually in some ways better than the Europe DVD, even though it’s just home movie quality. It's all shot from the front row, so there's a lot of detail in the visuals - and it makes you feel like you're right there. The backstage stuff is insane. You just have to see it to believe it. One scene has them arguing after a show about doing another encore or not. You can also see Mike stage diving, Pete doing a live organ solo, and Roine letting loose on Shine On with Daniel Gildenlow. Also includes a lost video of TransPacific in the studio. The artwork, editing, and production is all by MitM, I hope you enjoy.
