יש לו כמה נקודות מאוד נכונות שאני מסכים איתם. הדבר היחיד שמפריע לי זה שג'ובס שעומד בראש אחת החברות הכי "סגורות" בעולם מטיף על openness. זה שיש להם כמה טכנולוגיות פתוחות זה לא אומר שהפלטפורמה שלהם פתוחה. אבל בנקודות האחרות יש הרבה הגיון.

למי שעוד לא שמע, Gameloft מחלקים 10 משחקים בחינם, החל משלשום עד שישי הבא (לא כולל שבת-ראשון). זה יהיה למשך שעתיים בלבד כל יום, וכל יום בשעה אחרת. בשביל לגלות איזה משחק ומתי, צריך לעקוב אחריהם בטוויטר.
שלשום חילקו את Ferrari GT, אתמול איזה משחק מכות של צ'אק נוריס שהוא בכלל לא של גיימלופט והיום את Castle of Magic.

ומביאים את Prince of Persia: Warrior Within לאייפון... פשוט פורט של המשחק... לא יאומן. זה אולי המשחק הכי מתקדם וחזק שהגיע לאייפון.
נראה לי באייפון 4 נוכל כבר לשחק משחקים עכשוויים עליו..

לא היה לי צורך בזה, אז לא התקנתי.
אני מעריך שבקרוב יגיע עידכון עם מקלדת עברית, כמו שהיה עם האייפון. לא ברור לי למה זה לא שמה מלכתחילה עם האייפד, אבל וואטאבר.

After using it intensively for four days, here's my review for the iPad. In one sentence: I'm loving it! Instantly it became my only choice of mobile computing at home, the perfect living room companion and the definite ebook reader. Comparing it to the iPhone, everything is bigger, clearer and better organized which is understandable because of the larger size. Looking back at the iPhone after using the iPad is interestingly weird. It looks so small
Things I like: the Internet is super fast on this device, faster than on the iPhone and also faster than on my laptop (using the same wifi router from the same distance). The battery life is really good. I only charged it one time fully in the last few days' extensive use. In standby the battery consumption is close to none. The resolution and the native applications' interface are awesome. Mails, iPod, Safari, YouTube, all are very intuitive and clear. The keyboard is really good, not as good as a physical one, but the best touch KB I've seen so far. And it has a tilt lock slider, something that is sorely missed on the iPhone.
Things I don't like: the speaker could be much louder and positioned on the side and not on the bottom of the device. Also now that this is a much more computer like device than the iPhone, it really needs multitasking and VPN support but I guess we are getting those very soon. When holding it upright, the home button's location is not ideal.
Applications and games: the iPad took the iPhone experience with ebook readers, productivity, gaming and media applications to the next level. Some of the great apps that I (re-)discovered in the last few days are: Kindle for reading books, Air Video for streaming movies from the PC, NewsDeck as Google Reader client, LogMeIn for remote computing and games like Stair Dismount, Implode XL and Real Racing HD, the later already proving that the iPad is fully capable of gorgeous 3D gaming.
I bought the iPad to serve as a living room companion for all the stuff mentioned in this review that I used to do with my cumbersome over heating laptop and the small screen sized iPhone. I can already see that I'll be using it for much more than that.

בעניין מיקום כפתור ה"בית" והסיפקר - המיקום הדיפולטיבי שלהם הוא לא אידיאלי, אבל תזכור דבר אחד -
האייפד הוא אגנוסטי למיקום שלו במרחב. זאת אומרת שאתה יכול להפוך אותו והוא תמיד יסתדר כך שהתוכן יהיה מולך, אז אם אתה יושב והספיקר בתחתית - תהפוך את האייפד 180 מעלות, למשל.

אני יודע, לגבי ההום באטן, זה בעייתי כי תלוי איך אתה מחזיק אותו, אם אני מחזיק אותו על הצד זה מאוד נוח.
לגבי הספיקר, לדעתי הוא צריך להיות למעלה כי לא סביר שאנשים יחזיקו את האייפאד הפוך (אינטואיטיבית).

הכל בגלל האייפון... זה צרוב לנו עכשיו בראש להחזיק אותו עם הכפתור למטה, כאשר בתכל'ס עם האייפד זה באמת לא משנה. הוא נראה אותו הדבר מכל כיוון. שלא כמו עם האייפון.

90% מהזמן אני מחזיק אותו על הצד. הכי נוח לגלישה, מייל ומשחקים. איכשהו דווקא עם ספרים יותר נוח לי ישר.

הוא לא מראה פחות מילים, גם לא שני עמודים, הוא פשוט מותח את עמוד לרוחב ומוסיף מילים (בקינדל לפחות)
אולי בגלל שזה לא טבעי לספרים. בשכיבה זה גם עדיף.
